Family Tree

Have you guys ever thought of tracing your, or your family's, ancestry? Of making a family tree?

Like most Filipino families, the two clans that I belong to have this wide distribution of kin that only a few of the adult memebers of the family knows who came from whom and how somebody became my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th cousin/aunt/uncle/grandmother/grandfather.

And to think that my Lumayna and Francisco aunts ang uncles are no less than 10 siblings in each family.

Beacuse of a HUGE clan, I learned some interesting things:

That there was even a case wherein my cousin has to break-up with his girlfriend because they later found out that they are cousins...

That the descendants of the renowned anthropologist Otley Beyer are my relatives on my mother's side.

That there are three Francisco clans known in Zamboanga, (the one I belong to)Francisco-Gaytan, Francisco-Francisco, and Francisco-?.

That there odds of winning the elections is better if you have your HUGE clan voting for you.

That if I start to write down my family tree now then I just might not have to ask my mother all the time if this or that person is a relative or not.

But then... I'm too lazy to do that... I guess my descendants would have to do it for me... someday. :D

My Sassy Girl

Last night, I watched the VCD that I borrowed from Ria the other day.
It's a Korean comedy/love/tear-jerker story.
Nasabi na sa akin to ng friends ko at maganda nga daw. Kaya nung pinag-uusapan na ng friends ko dito sa skul, sila Ria Hazel at Kristine Carmela, hiniram ko na.

Nung pinapanood ko na kagabi, at first I was thinking that the girl was such a bitch with the way she treats the guy. But she is also a good bitch in her way of dealing with rotten people. As the story progressed I found it funny and quite romantic...

Then... just before it ended... what happened was... *BLEEP*
and so I was*BLEEP* and I found myself *BLEEP*
because... *BLEEP*
Basta panoorin nalang ng mga di pa nakakapanood!

Hay... tinatamad akong magtype... sana pwedeng kausapin nalang tong pc at automatic na siyang nailalagay sa monitor...*sighs*yawns*teary-eyed from sleep deprivation*

*sighs again*

Ang pagbabalik!

I'm back from my post-making-hiatus!

After my semi-boring worthwhile wonderful sembreak, Im back at school to "face new academic challenges and new teachers." (Thank God wala namang prof na may bad impression sa amin...)

Nung sembreak, if not for my coveted TV channel named ANIMAX, I would have been six feet under the ground and rotting by now due to chronic boredom...

Nung sembreak nalaman ko na may magagandang palabas din pala ang ibang channels like those late-night shows on ETC. Mas lalo kong naaapreciate yung mga palabas sa Arirang (soaps) at sa NHK(soaps, documentaries) pati sa CNN(US election) lalung-lalo na sa mga panahong nakakalason na ang mga palabas sa local channels natin.

Talagang nagpapasalamat ako sa shows like Ghost in a Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Spongebob Squarepants, Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, Oprah, Detective School Q, Rated K, Teen Titans, Anastasia(Star World), GTO, The Wild Thornberrys, Hour Asia, Wild Discovery, Unsolved History, The Most Extreme, Get Backers, Ragnarok the Animation, Fruits Basket, atbp.

I was bawling my eyes out nga pala kahapon ng hapon dahil sa 2nd to the last episode ng Ghost in a Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
As in...

May bago na namang superb anime na ipapalabas ang ABS-CBN ngayong November. Cyborg009 ang title. Ipapalabas nila sa "Animax" time nila. Galing 'to sa ANIMAX channel. Don't be fooled by the title. It's a very philosophical one, like almost all jap animes are, that my 14 year old bro even gave the comment, "Tingin ko hindi maiintindihan dito yan." (Nakuha ko pa ata ang verbatim quote niya. :D)

Art John Queyquep! Ako'y nagagalak sapagkat iyong lubos na nagustuhan ang Fruits Basket matapos na ito'y iyong mapanood (the Jap ver). Kung sabagay tulad nga ng nasabi ni Abigail Ruth Reyes wala pa namang nakapanood na hindi yon nagustuhan. (Did I hear it right kanina Abi?) (sana wag mo po makalimutan yung...yon. TY rin nga pala!)

Nagpapasalamat din ako kay "Keeteen" a.k.a. ********* ****** sapagkat siya ay dumating dito sa Maynila upang ipagdiwang ang kanyang ika-23 na kaarawan (Joke! She's just turned 19) sa kanilang tahanan. Ito ang siyang naging daan upang kami'y muling magkita matapos ang halos tatlong taong di pagkikita mula pa noong kami ay nagtapos sa mataas na paaralan ng Pateros Catholic School.

Um... yon. Wala na ata akong idadagdag pa kasi medyo mahaba na to... pero gusto ko pa sana pero wag nalang... :D
